The 2021 LSRFUR Conference will be going ahead this year on Sunday 5th September. In line with the latest government guidance, we are pleased to be able to hold this event in person, and have secured Twickenham Stadium as the venue for the Conference.
Free parking will be available on site, and the Stadium is accessible by public transport (note that there are some engineering works in the local vicinity so the final bit between Hounslow and Richmond may be by bus replacement).
We are pleased to confirm that Craig Maxwell-Keys from the RFU PGMOT will be joining us this year.
Tickets cost £5.50 (including transaction fees and VAT). Tea and coffee will be available on arrival, and lunch arrangements are being finalised. In addition, we are looking into further incentives and perks from the day are in the process of being agreed. Tickets must be purchased in advance, in order to manage numbers and catering.
Tickets can be purchased now via: https://buytickets.at/lsrfur/565913
Arrival will be from 10:15, with the Conference starting at 11:00 and the formal conference ending no later than 15:30. An exact agenda will be published closer to the time, but sessions will include:
- The new World Rugby Law trials
- The new tackle height law changes for age grade rugby
- Important updates on DBS check requirements being mandatory for youth rugby, and Safeguarding (see: https://www.londonrugby.com/newsblog/2021/8/20/dbsgms)
- Society matters and updates
- Another session TBC
On the day, you will also have the opportunity to get your ID documents checked to allow your DBS application to be made, and for you to officiate youth rugby. Please see: https://www.londonrugby.com/newsblog/2021/8/20/dbsgms for further information on this.
